Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AI Cover Letter Maker (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.

The Service

AI Cover Letter Maker writes cover letters. You paste your resume and a job description, and an AI model hosted by Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (now DeepSeek V4.1 Flash) writes a letter for that job. You can edit it, copy it, download it as a Word file or print it. Writing letters comes with a free daily allowance and paid credits. The example letters on the site are free to read and use.

We use these providers' API services to generate results from your inputs. Our Privacy Policy explains what they receive.

AI-generated content

A letter written by an AI model can be wrong, can misread your resume or the job description, or can say something you wouldn't. Read every letter before you send it and make sure everything in it is true. You are responsible for the letters you send to employers. We don't promise that a letter will get you an interview or a job.

Your account

You sign in with your Google account; writing letters needs an account. Keep your Google account secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account. Accounts are for adults only. Children should not create accounts.

Credits and payments

  • Writing letters uses credits after the free allowance. The pricing page lists the costs, and the Service shows the cost before you generate.
  • You can buy one-time credit packs. Checkout shows the price. You don't need a subscription, and nothing renews or charges you again.
  • Waffo Pancake processes card checkout as our Merchant of Record. It collects the payment and any tax that applies.
  • Where the checkout offers it, you can pay with PayPal instead. PayPal processes that payment, and we are the seller.
  • Credits never expire.
  • If a letter fails to generate, we don't charge credits for it.
  • Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred, except through features the Service offers for that.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

Billing disputes

If you think a charge is wrong, contact support@aicoverlettermaker.com before you file a chargeback. We refund incorrect and duplicate charges in full.

Your content

You keep your rights to the resumes and job descriptions you submit. You give us a license to process them and send them to our providers only as needed to write your letter; we don't store them. You confirm that the resume is yours, or that you have the right to use it. We don't use your resumes, job descriptions or letters to train AI models.

Using your letters

You may use the letters you write, and the example letters on the site, in your own job applications, and edit them however you like. AI results may not be unique, and other users can get similar letters. We do not promise that you own exclusive rights in a result, because that depends on the law where you live.

Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to create, upload or share:

  • sexual, violent or hateful content;
  • content that harasses, bullies or threatens a real person;
  • content that sexualizes, exploits or harms minors;
  • content that promotes illegal activity, including scams and fraud;
  • letters in someone else's name, or with false claims about you meant to deceive an employer.

You also agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright, trademark and privacy rights;
  • upload content you don't have the right to use;
  • send spam or malware through the Service;
  • get around usage limits, or interfere with or disrupt the Service, or try to access it in unauthorized ways;
  • copy, resell or scrape the Service.

How we enforce these rules

If we find content or activity that breaks these rules, we can refuse requests, delete content, suspend or close the account, and report it to the authorities when the law requires.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account on your profile page. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, and your unused credits are lost.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. We don't refund credits on an account that we close for a breach.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that every generation will succeed, that a letter is accurate, or that it fits a particular employer. We may change, limit or stop features at any time.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for how you or others use the letters you write. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes, governing law and disputes

We may update these Terms. If the changes are material, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. If you have a dispute with us, contact us first so that we can try to solve it informally. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
